With 75 clinics and a commercial warehouse operation in the region, there was significant overstaffing and overlap between courier systems. An overabundance of fleet vehicles, various service levels for On-Demand requests, no chain of custody tracking systems, and a lack of training and knowledge of courier operations in biohazard handling, PHI, and temperature control.

OMG implemented a combined courier network under a single Logistics Manager, added tracking systems, restructured service levels, and implemented training for all couriers resulting in annual savings of $1,628,781. Safety risks were significantly reduced, fleet vehicles were rightsized, and performance increased from 75% to 99.5%
